Problem of Insomnia 

Insomnia has become a very common problem in today’s time. Lakhs of people are suffering from this disease but people are not able to take care of themselves properly. Sleeping late at night and eating late at night has become a fashion among the urban people. I know a friend who is studying to be a doctor but takes sleeping pills to sleep. There are many reasons for sleeplessness at night like –

  • Tea and coffee 

    Tea and coffee are like tonics and it is necessary to drink them. An army uncle lives in my neighborhood who is so fond of tea that he drinks a glass of tea as soon as he wakes up at four in the morning and drinks tea many times a day. After having dinner at night we drink tea again at 11 pm. Now drinking so much tea obviously will cause stomach problem like constipation etc. then how can one sleep at night. Apart from this there are many other reasons also –

  • Alcohol, Cigarette

    Many people consume alcohol and cigarette before going to sleep at night due to which they are unable to sleep and boys living in hostels are more addicted to this.

Stress

Stress is the main reason of sleeplessness, some are upset because of daily fights at home, some one’s friend is talking to someone else and some one is upset about loan EMI.

4.Not having a fixed time to sleep
5. Eating too much fast food which causes stomach problem and unable to sleep on time
6. Watching movies or reels till late night on O.T.T. platform or online
7. Talking to friends till late night
8. Playing games till late night
9. Habit of using mobile till late at night
10. Drinking less water

What things should you keep in mind –

1.Reduce the consumption of tea, coffee, cigarettes and alcohol as much as possible
2. Make a fixed time for sleeping
3. Turn off the TV and mobile half an hour before sleeping
4. Do not consume any painkiller and medicine without reason
5. Walk a little after having dinner
6. Do yoga and exercise in the morning or evening as per your time
7. Drink plenty of water
8. Reduce the consumption of outside food or fast-food
9. Do not take stress, do not think too much and do not remain mentally upset, take care of yourself

Take care of yourself and remember that this life you are living is not only yours, but it belongs to your parents, siblings, wife and your children associated with you. Life is about you so take care of yourself.
